We're excited to share some exciting updates that will enhance your research experience on Prolific. From free representative samples to UI improvements, here's what's new:

Prolific representative samples are now free—forever!

Our representative samples, including political representative samples, are now free to use—permanently! This means you can effortlessly distribute your studies based on UK or US census data and political affiliation at no extra cost.

With Prolific's representative samples, your research becomes more accurate, faster, and truly reflective of the population you're studying. Whether you're testing hypotheses or making critical decisions, you'll gain greater precision and confidence in your results - and enjoy a smoother research process.

Find out more about representative samples in our help center and FAQ.

Using multiple saved participant groups

Ever run studies on Prolific with complex participant criteria? Then you’ve probably saved multiple participant groups based on demographics, past responses, and other characteristics.

Now, when creating a new study, you can easily select multiple saved participant groups directly from the user interface. No need to limit your participant selection for your studies! Read about participant groups in our help center.
